Velmurugan extends support to Porkodi Amstrong and Krishnasamy

Tamilaga Valvurimai Katchi (TVK) president Panruti T. Velmurugan on Sunday said that his party will support late BSP leader Armstrong’s wife A. Porkodi and Puthiya Tamizhagam president K. Krishnasamy.

Mr. Velmurugan participated in a meeting held at a marriage hall and introduced 11 candidates contesting in the Salem district and those contesting in the Kongu region. 

Mr. Velmurugan told the reporters that based on the request from Ms. Porkodi and Mr. Krishnasamy, his party did not field candidates against them. “If Sowmiya Anbumani, who is contesting in Dharmapuri constituency, makes a request, the party will avoid a clash,” he said, pointing out that the party had not fielded a candidate against NTK chief Seeman as well.
