India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Sunday that light to moderate rain/thunder showers with gusty wind (30-40 kmph) likely to occur at one or two places over Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts from April 6 to 9. Meanwhile, Balepuni, near Mangaluru, recorded 6.5 mm rainfall in 24 hours ending at 7.30 a.m. on Sunday. Idkidu in Bantwal taluk recorded 6 mm rainfall during the same period, according to Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre (KSNDMC).
