The Odisha government has increased reservation for Scheduled Tribe and Scheduled Caste students and introduced a new quota for OBCs, or SEBC, in medical and technical education. The revised policy is expected to significantly raise seat availability, with ST engineering seats set to increase from 5,349 to 10,030, and similar gains for SC and SEBC students.
