Kerala’s Governor, Chief Minister, and Leader of Opposition extended greetings to the people of the state on Saturday, the eve of Easter, highlighting the values of hope, love, and resilience associated with the festival. In a message, Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar said that Easter reminds one of the enduring power of hope, renewal, and compassion through the resurrection of Jesus. “May this sacred festival inspire us to foster harmony, extend kindness to those in need, and work together for a more inclusive and peaceful society,” he said. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan stated that Easter conveys the enduring message that goodness and love can overcome any adversity and that truth ultimately prevails. He described the occasion as a symbol of humanity and compassion triumphing over injustice. Calling upon people to uphold the spirit of Easter, the CM urged them to rise with strength during challenging times, stand for peace, and become a source of positive energy for the world. He also appealed to people to move forward together towards a new dawn, lighting the lamp of hope. Meanwhile, V D Satheesan said that Easter commemorates the resurrection of Jesus Christ after enduring suffering and crucifixion for the redemption of humanity’s sins. He noted that the path of Christ inspires people to transform sorrow into joy through unwavering faith. The Leader of the Opposition also said that this Easter should mark a moment of personal renewal and resurgence for individuals emerging from hardships.
