The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at JSS Science and Technology University (JSS STU), Mysuru, on Saturday organised Hack-Olympic 2026, a 24-hour national-level AI and FinTech hackathon (hardware and software).

The event commenced at the ISE Seminar Hall, Golden Jubilee Bhavan, on the university campus.

The hackathon brought together innovative minds from across the country to collaborate and develop cutting-edge solutions in Artificial Intelligence and Financial Technology. It provided a platform for students to apply technical expertise to real-world challenges while fostering creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills, a press release said.

The event was coordinated by Dr. A. M. Chandrashekhar and Dr. M. A. Anusuya, under the convenership of Dr. K. M. Anil Kumar, Head of the Department.

Sowmya N. Swamy, vice-president at Wells Fargo, Bengaluru, was the chief guest at the inaugural ceremony. The programme was presided over by Dr. A.N. Santosh Kumar, Vice-Chancellor of JSS STU. Prof. Dr. S.A. Dhanaraj, Registrar, and Dr. C. Nataraju, principal (UG) and dean (Engineering & Technology) were present.
