Drinking water scarcity unlikely this summer in Tiruchi, say officials

With adequate water availability and strengthened management measures, Tiruchi city is unlikely to face a drinking water shortage during the summer, according to officials.

The Tiruchi Corporation has significantly improved its water supply capacity over the past year by augmenting sources and enhancing infrastructure. The city depends on the Cauvery and the Kollidam for meeting its drinking water requirement.
