A locker custodian at a private bank has been arrested by the Central Crime Branch (CCB) for allegedly stealing gold jewellery worth around ₹1 crore from a customer’s locker.

According to police, the arrest was based on a complaint filed by the bank’s branch manager, Ahmed Khadiri, 46. On December 5, 2025, at around 2.45 p.m., he found a small purse with gold jewellery weighing 1,156.50 grams, valued at approximately ₹1.34 crore, under a chair in the bank.
