Two youths, including a B.Tech student, were killed and two others suffered injuries as the car they were travelling in rammed into a stationary lorry near Bommakal flyover on the bypass road in Karimnagar late on Thursday night. The deceased were identified as Sayyad Atyab (21), a B. Tech student, and Abdul Rahman (19), both residents of Azmathpura in Karimnagar. According to the police, Atyab was driving the car at the time of the accident. The car was proceeding from Housing Board Colony towards Bommakal flyover when it crashed into a stationary lorry on the roadside. Though Atyab and Rahman were shifted to nearby hospitals for treatment, they died while undergoing treatment. Two other occupants, both youngsters, also sustained injuries and they are undergoing treatment at a private hospital in the town. The Karimnagar rural police registered a case and are investigating. Meanwhile, Karimnagar Police Commissioner Gaush Alam examined the accident spot.
