A pet dog was shot dead allegedly by a man and his wife, in a village near Doddaballapur. The accused have been identified as Narayanaswamy and Nagamma, both residents of Reddihalli near Channarayapatna. There is no clarity whether the fire arm was licensed or not. Sources said the weapon was yet to be seized. When asked, an officer supervising the investigation told The Hindu that the probe is under way and nothing can be “disclosed at this stage”.
