“If UDF comes to power, I’ll lose my job, Rahulji”: Lord of Death petitions Rahul Gandhi 

The “Lord of Death” (Yaman) has complained to Rahul Gandhi that he will lose his job if the UDF (United Democratic Front) comes to power. This unusual encounter took place in Kozhikode during a bus journey that Rahul Gandhi undertook as part of his campaigning for the five guarantees announced by the UDF.

According to the “Lord of Death,” if the Oommen Chandy Free Health Insurance Scheme, one among the five guarantees announced by the UDF if it comes to power, which offers coverage up to Rs 25 lakh per person, is implemented, the death rate in Kerala will drop significantly, leaving him unemployed.

When he pleaded for help, AICC general secretary and MP K C Venugopal told him curtly that making him “jobless” was exactly what UDF intended to do.
