RAJESH On the occasion of Good Friday, special prayers were held across churches in Thoothukudi district on Friday. After the “Washing of the feet” ritual on Maundy Thursday, commemorating the crucifixion of Jesus Christ special prayers were observed on Friday. At the Our Lady of Snow Basilica in Thoothukudi, a devotional procession re-enacting Jesus carrying the cross was taken around church premises to commemorate his suffering. The procession was led by Parish Priest Fr. Starwin and witnessed by thousands of devotees who offered prayers remembering the passion of the Christ.
