At present, Byndoor Railway Station in Udupi district is a halt station, though almost all express trains stop here. | Photo Credit: SPECIAL ARRANGEMENT The Konkan Railway Corporation Limited (KRCL) has proposed to construct a new crossing station at Mookambika Road Byndoor in Udupi district of Karnataka to ensure capacity enhancement on its 740-km network. At present, Byndoor is categorised as a ‘halt’ station though almost all express trains stop here. The station is the gateway to the famous pilgrim centre Kollur, which is home to the Mookambika Devi temple.
