Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday (April 2, 2026) in Gorakhpur said that the government is committed to ensuring that every eligible and needy person receives the benefits of welfare schemes. “Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, during his visit to Gorakhpur, met people and listened to their grievances at the Janata Darshan held at Gorakhnath Temple on Thursday (April 3, 2026) morning. During the interaction, he assured support to provide housing to the needy and extend full financial assistance for the treatment of those suffering from serious illnesses,” reads an official statement. 

Mr. Adityanath said, “The government is committed to ensuring that every eligible and needy person receives the benefits of welfare schemes and every issue is resolved effectively.” The U.P. CM met around 100 people during the Janata Darshan at Gorakhnath Temple. Mr. Adityanath collected applications and referred people to the concerned administrative and police officials, directing that all issues be resolved in a time-bound, impartial and satisfactory manner.

“He also instructed the police to take prompt and strict action in matters related to law enforcement. At the Janata Darshan, a woman raised the issue of housing. Chief Minister assured her that she would be provided a house under a government housing scheme. People seeking financial assistance for the treatment of serious illnesses were assured that no one’s treatment would stop due to lack of funds. He directed officials to promptly prepare and provide cost estimates for advanced medical treatment for all those in need,” added the official statement. 

During the interaction, the Chief Minister also gave chocolates to children who accompanied their mother at Janta Darshan and encouraged them to study well.
