Delhi Mayor Raja Iqbal Singh on Thursday (April 2, 2026) flagged off a fleet of vehicles, including backhoe loaders, mechanical road sweepers and flood-control emergency units, procured by the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) to address waterlogging and strengthen sanitation services. Mr. Singh said residents would not witness the extent of waterlogging seen in previous years during the coming monsoon. “This is the second phase of induction of advanced machines into the MCD fleet,” he said.
