In wake of the A.P. Speciality Hospitals’ Association’s strike entering the second day on Thursday, Praja Arogya Vedika (PAV) has urged the State government to address the concerns of the network hospitals at the earliest and restore services under Dr. NTR Vaidya Seva immediately. In a letter addressed to Minister for Health, Medical Education and Family Welfare Satya Kumar Yadav, the PAV members alleged disruption of healthcare services under the scheme will cause severe hardship to economically weaker sections, who depend entirely on the scheme for accessing critical and life saving treatments. The members urged the government to expedite the clearance of pending dues to hospitals, initiate constructive dialogue with hospital associations to restore services without delay and ensure that beneficiaries of the scheme do not suffer due to financial or administrative constraints.
