PMK president Anbumani on Thursday alleged key announcements made by the DMK government, including the Tamil Nadu Assured Pension Scheme (TAPS) and a pay hike for guest lecturers, remain unimplemented. In a social media post, he said although the State had announced that the TAPS would take effect from January 1, it had not been implemented. Thousands of government employees had retired by the end of March, but eligible beneficiaries were yet to receive pension orders, he said. He also alleged that the government had failed to implement its February 26 announcement raising guest lecturers’ pay from ₹25,000 to ₹30,000, with no revised salaries paid for February or March. Calling the delays “deception”, he said voters would respond in the upcoming Assembly elections.
