In a significant move towards the operationalisation of the South Coast Railway (SCoR) zone, the Ministry of Railways on Thursday (April 2) issued a formal revision regarding its territorial jurisdiction, a confirmed official source told The Hindu. According to an official communication from the Railway Board dated April 2, 2026, the Competent Authority has decided to expand the scope of the proposed Visakhapatnam division.
