On the second day of nomination filing for the Tamil Nadu Assembly election on Thursday, candidates and substitute candidates filed papers across constituencies in Coimbatore district.

In Sulur constituency, Nelson filed his papers representing the Tamilaga Makkal Nala Katchi. Kavundampalayam saw filings from A. Balamurugan and M. Rajalingam, both contesting as Independents, along with K. Velmurugan of the Bahujan Samaj Party. For Coimbatore North, Kalaiselvi K. submitted her nomination under the Naam Tamilar Katchi.

Thondamuthur constituency recorded the highest activity with nine candidates filing papers. The list includes A. Duraisamy (Independent), Chinnaraj (Tamilaga Makkal Nala Katchi), K. Surya Prasanth (Independent), K. Ramasamy (Independent), M. Badran (Samaniya Makkal Nala Katchi), S. Velumani (Independent), J. Shajahan (Republican Party of India (Athawale)), R.S. Shanmugam (Independent), and Boopathi (Independent).

In Coimbatore South, V. Senthikumar and Asha Senthil both filed nominations for the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam. Singanallur saw filings from Vivek Kumar T. (Naam Tamilar Katchi) and V. Balamurugan (Independent). For Kinathukadavu, nominations were received from Shanmugavel T. (Samaniya Makkal Nala Katchi) and Banupriya M. (Naam Tamilar Katchi).

In Pollachi, K. Nithyanandhan and N. Vanitha of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam filed papers, along with C.M. Aruchamy (Bahujan Samaj Party) and N. Senthil Kumar (Naam Tamilar Katchi).

No nominations have been recorded for the Mettupalayam or Valparai (SC-Reserved) constituencies.
