Starring Yash, the pan-Indian movie is directed by Geetu Mohandas. The teaser introduces Yash’s character as Raya. The teaser opens with wide shot of an old burial ground, fog curling between weathered tombstones. A group of foreigners, dressed in black, stand in somber silence as a funeral is underway. A grieving family member steps “he wants his son to have a peaceful burial.” “Do you think he will come?” he asks, indicating at the film’s protagonist. Suddenly, the silence is shattered when a car skids to a halt near the cemetery gates. The driver stumbles out even as the camera cuts inside the car to show the hero making passionate love with a random woman. Before anyone in the burial ground can fire the first shots at the car, a series of massive explosions rip through the area. Through the smoke, Yash steps out as Raya and stylishly takes down his enemies. The teaser closes with Yash announcing, “Daddy’s home.” Toxic also stars Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth and Tara Sutaria. The first-look posters of these actors have generated enough buzz around the movie. KVN Productions, the banner behind the upcoming Jana Nayagan starring Vijay, has bankrolled Toxic along Monster Mind Creations helmed by Yash. Toxic is set to hit the screens on March 19, 2026, clashing against Dhurandhar 2, the sequel to the gargantuan blockbuster of 2025 starring Ranveer Singh. The film has been simultaneously filmed in Kannada and English, with dubbed versions planned in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and several other languages—underscoring its global ambition. The film boasts a powerhouse technical team, including National Award winner Rajeev Ravi as cinematographer, Ravi Basrur on music, Ujwal Kulkarni on editing, and TP Abid as production designer. High-octane action is choreographed by Hollywood action director JJ Perry (John Wick) along with National Award-winning duo Anbariv & Kecha Khamphakdee.
