Hyderabad marked World Autism Day on Thursday (April 2) with the launch of a communication board installed in a public park for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The board was inaugurated at KBR Park in Banjara Hills, signalling a move towards making public spaces more inclusive for neurodivergent children.

The communication board features a set of visual icons sourced from Avaz.com, an augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) platform. These icons are designed to help children who face difficulty with verbal communication, convey their needs, preferences, and emotions in a simple and accessible manner.
