INLD seeks crop damage compensation due to rains

In the wake of the unseasonal rain and hailstorms causing damage to Rabi crops in several parts of Haryana, the Opposition leaders have demanded a special crop damage assessment and immediate disbursement of compensation covering the present loss and the pending claims due to flood last year.

Expressing distress over the crops damaged by hailstorms, Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) national president Abhay Singh Chautala, in a press statement, said the unseasonal rains had inflicted severe damage upon the farmers produce.
