The condition of Karnataka Minister D. Sudhakar, who was admitted to a private hospital following a lung infection, is reported to be critical. Hospital sources said he has been placed on Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO), an advanced life-support system used in cases of severe, potentially reversible heart or lung failure. Sources in the Chief Minister’s Office indicated that his health has deteriorated over the past four to five days due to worsening respiratory complications. Mr. Sudhakar, who holds the Planning and Statistics portfolio, is currently being treated in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at a hospital in Yeshwanthpur and remains under close medical supervision, sources added.
