Andhra Pradesh Sadhu Parishad president Swami Srinivasananda on Wednesday urged the Endowments Department to provide funds for the renovation of temples in dilapidated condition. He was speaking as the chief guest at the Hanuman victory rally organised by the Sri Panchamukha Anjaneya Swamy temple where the Hanuman Chalisa was chanted continuously for the last 41 days within the temple premises in Vizianagaram.

Speaking to media on the occasion, he said that proper maintenance of temples will enable people to participate in spiritual and cultural activities.

He added that the temples controlled by charitable organisations are being maintained properly, and such care is needed for temples under the supervision of the Endowments Department. Sri Panchamukha Anjaneya Swamy temple trustees Madipilli Venkatachalam, vice-president Gokavarapu Uday, rally convener Perla Kamaraju, Adhyatmika Jnanjyoti mandal president P.V.R. Kumari and others were present.
