M. Veerapandian, State secretary of the party, who released the manifesto, said that even though the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) was reiterating that a government would be formed under its leadership, the BJP was asserting that the NDA would form the government. “The AIADMK has given up all its ideological moorings and merged itself with the BJP,” he alleged. Expressing its commitment to the interests of tribals and senior citizens, and outlining a multi-level approach to tackling the drug menace, the party said it would set up drug and alcohol de-addiction centres. “We will not allow the implementation of the Citizenship Amendment Act and the National Register of Citizens in Tamil Nadu,” the manifesto said.
