Perumpathu double murder: 7 detained under Goondas Act

Members of the armed gang, which murdered two persons, including a Scheduled Caste youth, and hacked five others in an indiscriminate and unprovoked attack at Perumapthu near Nanguneri recently have been detained under the Goondas Act.

A group of armed inebriated hooligans hacked the public standing in front of a roadside teashop at Indra Colony near Perumpathu on Nanguneri – Eravadi Road under Nanguneri police station limits on March 2, in which John, 42, of Indra Colony, Trianth Katta, 50, a migrant brick kiln labourer from Odisha , and a few others suffered grievous cut injuries.
