As part of the Assembly elections, a total of 5,836 voters in the district exercised their franchise through home voting over two days. The facility was extended across all 13 constituencies to voters aged above 85 and those marked as persons with disabilities in the electoral roll with 40% or more disability, based on prior application. On Monday, the first day, 2,907 voters cast their votes, while 2,929 voted on Tuesday. Each home voting team comprises two polling officers, a micro observer, a police officer, and a videographer. A total of 192 teams, including reserve teams, have been deployed across the district. If a voter is unavailable during the visit, officials will revisit the residence after prior intimation. The home voting process will continue till April 6.
