POORNACHANDRA KUMAR The Telugu Desam Party leaders on Tuesday (March 31, 2026) accused the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leaders of spreading misinformation against the government. Chandragiri MLA Pulivarthi Nani and Tirupati Urban Development Authority (TUDA) chairman C. Divakar Reddy, addressing a media conference here, dismissed former MLA and YSR Congress district president B. Karunakar Reddy’s accusation that the government was trying to give away prime government lands near Tiruchanur Padmavati Ammavari temple to private parties, as baseless. Mr. Nani said that there was not an iota of truth in the charge and explained that the allocation was done at government price for a private hotel, that too as per the rules. “It was during the YSRCP rule that the DKT lands were usurped by land sharks,” he alleged. Questioning Mr. Karunakar Reddy’s stature to level allegations against Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu and Minister Nara Lokesh, Mr. Divakar Reddy warned him to mend his ways or face public onslaught.
