The Alluri Sitharama Raju district police conducted a ‘cordon and search’ as part of ‘Operation Vajra Prahar’ in Busiputtu village in Pedabayalu mandal, on Tuesday. As part of the operation, the police personnel thoroughly checked houses, verified residents’ details, inspected vehicles, and monitored suspicious individuals. The operation was supervised by Paderu DSP Abhishek. Apart from the enforcement activity, the police also organised an awareness programme on cybercrime prevention and road safety for the tribals. They explained the health, social, and legal consequences of drug abuse. They emphasised that the use of ganja and other narcotic substances can severely damage the future of youth and disrupt family systems.
