A.P. Chamber of Commerce and Industry Federation executive vice-president B. Raja Shekhar said that these days, employers are looking for three qualities — adaptability, digital skills and leadership. He stressed the importance of students focusing on these attributes.

Participating as chief guest in the ‘Vision Pitch 2K26: B-plan Model competition 2026’, a two-day regional inter-institutional competition organised by Siddhartha Academy of Higher Education (Deemed To Be University) in Vijayawada on Tuesday, Mr. Raja Sekhar said there is a lot of scope for youngsters to exhibit their talent these days.

Guest of honour and Ratan Tata Incubation Hub head of incubation Tarun Krishna Kumar said youngsters should focus on becoming entrepreneurs and create employment opportunities for others instead of seeking employment.

Vice-Chancellor P. Venkateswara Rao emphasised the role of entrepreneurs in promoting collaboration among students, nurturing innovation and complementing the universities’ broader academic initiatives.

Nearly 21 teams participated in both prototype business model and non-prototype business model. The event, blending technology, culture and innovation, provided a platform for MBA and engineering students to showcase their skills, creativity and talent in a competitive and collaborative environment, according to a press release from the institute.

The aim of the event is to bridge the gap between ideation and execution and to create meaningful opportunities that empower aspiring entrepreneurs and drive innovation forward.
