Governor S. Abdul Nazeer. | Photo Credit: File Photo Governor S. Abdul Nazeer on Tuesday offered prayers at the temple of Lord Venkateswara in Tirumala. He was accorded a ceremonial welcome at the temple’s Mahadwaram by Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Executive Officer M. Ravichandra, Additional Executive Officer Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary, Chief Vigilance and Security Officer (CV&SO) Murali Krishna. The priests extended him the traditional ‘Istikapal’ honours and led him into the sanctum sanctorum, where he paid obeisances to the presiding deity. Later, the scholars rendered ‘Vedasirvachanam’ on him at the Ranganayakula Mandapam, while the officials presented ‘theertha prasadams’ and a portrait of Lord Venkateswara. Deputy Executive Officer Lokanatham, Vigilance Guard Officer Ram Kumar and other officials were present.
