Technology alone cannot be considered a strategy, data does not equate to wisdom, and automation by itself does not guarantee progress, said Amitava Roy, associate professor and dean at St. Xavier’s University, Kolkata.

Speaking on the second day of the two-day national conference on ‘Emerging Trends in Commerce and Management’, organised by the Department of Commerce and Business Administration at Andhra Loyola College, Mr. Amitava Roy said innovation and wisdom drive true progress.

Later, Chennappa, associate professor at Osmania University, highlighted the need to integrate classroom teaching with online learning and global exposure. He also talked about the transformation of management education in the era of artificial intelligence, noting a shift from customer-centric approaches to an AI-driven global economy.

During the technical sessions, faculty members and students presented their research papers. Participation certificates were distributed to students and faculty, and ‘Best Paper Presentation’ awards were presented to Lakshmi Padmaja from Stella college and other students.
