A total of 959 posts will be transferred from the South Central Railway (SCR) headquarters to the South Coast Railway (SCoR) headquarters in Visakhapatnam. The decision was taken at a joint meeting of the GM of SCR Sanjay Kumar Srivastava and SCoR GM Sandeep Mathur held on January 5. Principal Chief Personnel Officers (PCPOs) of SCR and SCoR Siddharth Kati and LVSS Patrudu attended the meeting. Welcoming the decision, veteran trade union leader and Divisional Railway Users’ Consultative Committee (DRUCC) Member Chalasani Gandhi recalled that it was exactly a year ago on January 8, 2025, that Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for construction of the SCoR zonal office. He said that the long-pending aspiration of the people would be fulfilled, if the Gazette Notification for SCoR was issued without any further delay.
