BJP poised to script a new chapter in Kerala: C.K. Padmanabhan

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and former Kerala BJP president C.K. Padmanabhan has said that a silent wave of support is building in favour of the BJP, which will bring surprising victories.

“We might even secure surprising wins in some constituencies. The result will be of astonishing nature. The BJP is set to script a new chapter in Kerala’s electoral history,” said Mr. Padmanabhan. He was speaking at a press meet here.

He further said that there was a general sentiment that change was imminent. “Kerala has to change, and we need to usher in a corruption-free leadership and bring in a comprehensive development of the State,” said Mr. Padmanabhan.

He noted that baseless allegations were being made against the party by both the Left Democratic Front (LDF) and the United Democratic Front (UDF) that the party had entered into a secret deal with one or the other.

“With each party alleging that the other has entered into a deal with us, they are trying to divert public attention instead of focussing on issues concerning the development of the State. They believe that if they allege a BJP link to the opposing party, they will gain minority votes,” he said.
