Seeman declaresassets worth ₹3.74 cr. in nomination for Karaikudi constituency

Naam Tamilar Katchi (NTK) chief coordinator Seeman filed his nomination papers for the Karaikudi constituency at the Devakottai Sub-Collector’s office on Monday.

Mr. Seeman, who came along with his mother Annammal, wife Kayalvizhi, and party functionaries, submitted his nomination papers to Returning Officer and Sub-Collector Ayush Venkat Vats.

Following this, his wife Kayalvizhi filed her nomination as the substitute candidate for him. The affidavit attached with the nomination documents noted that Seeman and his wife possessed assets worth ₹3.74 crore. Mr. Seeman has ₹50,000 in cash on hand, ₹7.72 lakh in bank deposits, a car valued at ₹12 lakh, and 150 grams of gold worth ₹19.50 lakh, totalling ₹39.81 lakh in movable assets. His total debt is ₹5.11 lakh.

Further, there were 24 cases pending against him, but he has not been convicted in any of them. His wife has ₹35,000 in cash on hand, ₹5.27 lakh in bank deposits, ₹3.5 lakh in share investments, two cars valued at ₹25 lakh and ₹4 lakh, and 1,600 grams of gold valued at ₹2.08 crore, totalling ₹2.57 crore in movable assets.

Regarding immovable assets, she possessed 25.45 acres of agricultural land valued at ₹51 lakh and 10 acres of non-agricultural land valued at ₹36 lakh, totalling ₹87 lakh. Her total debt is ₹18.29 lakh.

Together, Mr. Seeman and his wife possess assets worth ₹3.74 crore.
