The new Regional Office premises was inaugurated by Managing Director and CEO of Bank of Baroda Debadatta Chand, in the presence of General Manager and Zonal Head, Chennai Zone T.N. Suresh; General Manager, Mid Corporate, South Cluster T.M.L Balaji; Regional Head, Madurai Region, M. Jaikishan and others. “The inauguration of our new Regional Office in Madurai reflects Bank of Baroda’s aspiration to strengthen regional operations and deliver a future-ready banking experience to our customers. As we continue to expand our physical presence alongside our digital initiatives, our focus remains on bringing world-class banking services closer to customers, empowering communities, and supporting economic growth across South India.”, Mr. Debadatta Chand said. According to a press release, the bank endeavours to strengthen its presence across the southern States and enhance administrative efficiency. This step aligns with the bank’s broader strategy to expand physical infrastructure alongside its digital initiatives. Bank of Baroda is serving the people of Madurai Region through a network of 56 branches spread across the region with around 63% of these branches located in rural and semi urban areas. With this strategic initiative, Bank of Baroda reiterates its commitment to foster regional prosperity, enhancing financial inclusion, and driving sustainable growth across the southern States, thereby contributing to the nation’s holistic development, the press release said.
