Third Additional District Judge Ammanna Raja on Monday (March 30, 2026) sentenced twelve people to life imprisonment for the killing of four members of a family in 2012. The brutal faction murders had taken place in the undivided Kurnool district. The deceased, Injeti Krishna Reddy, along with his wife Govindamma, son Mallikarjuna Reddy, and father-in-law Ramasubba Reddy, were attacked with lethal weapons, leading to their deaths. The assailants barged into Krishna Reddy’s house in Chintakunta village of Allagadda mandal and carried out the killings. Allagadda police registered a case under various Sections of IPC including murder against 19 accused and subsequently a chargesheet was filed. During the trial, nine of the accused have died, police said. The accused who were convicted to life imprisonment are Injeti Sivakumar Reddy, K. Rami Reddy, B. Hussain Vali alias Tailor Basha, Kammabaigari Kamal Vali, K. Mahbub Basha Vali, K. Babu Basha, K. Chinna Mabu Vali, Fakir Vali, U. Chand Basha, M. Pedda Ankalu, M.S. Tirupalu and M. Lakku Srinu. The main accused, Injeti Raghava Reddy, Injeti Venkatrami Reddy, K. Pedda Dastagiri Reddy, Golla Seshu alias Anji, Kunduru Venkatrami Reddy, M. Peddanna and K. Tirupalu have died during the trial.
