Jana Sena Party (JSP) district president and Anantapur-Hindupur Urban Development Authority (AHUDA) Chairman T.C. Varun said the 104 and 108 ambulances were extending quality and quick healthcare to the needy.

Following allegations by YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) on the negligent manner in which ambulances were being maintained in the State, Mr. Varun visited the Government General Hospital in Anantapur and inspected the facilities available in the 108 and 104 ambulances.

Expressing satisfaction over the facilities, Mr. Varun said the ambulances had achieved 95 per cent success rate in responding and saving lives of patients during the golden hour. “Nearly 47 types of tests are being performed in the ambulances itself and the ambulance staff provide treatment in the vehicle with the assistance of doctors through video monitoring facility,” Mr. Varun said.

He said the State government had also introduced Electronic Health Cards as part of the digital health initiative. “Under the leadership of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan and Health Minister Satya Kumar Yadav, several reforms were being brought in the health sector. We will give a befitting reply to the malicious propaganda of the YSRCP against the State government,” he said.

Meanwhile, Mr. Varun alleged that the previous government had not even paid the salaries of the staff and several vehicles were damaged after being left unused.
