10-year-old boy run over by a water tanker in Pallikaranai

A 10-year-old boy was killed after he was run over by a water tanker in Pallikaranai on Saturday. 

Tambaram police said Subramani, a resident of Vengaivasal and working in a software company, was taking his son Ram on his two-wheeler to the school located on Pallavaram-Thoraipakkam Radial Road. As Subramani was proceeding on Velachery Main Road with his son, he hit another two-wheeler coming from the opposite direction, and he and his son fell. While he tried to get up, a water tanker coming from the back ran over his son, killing him on the spot.
