The State committee of the School Teachers’ Federation (STF) hailed a slew of initiatives rolled out by the Telangana government for strengthening the education system in the State.

In a statement, STF State president Devarakonda Saidulu said that the government’s landmark decision to implement Telangana Public Schools programme with an aim to establish 100 high-standard, English-medium government schools starting in the 2026-27 academic year will help improve academic standards and enhance learning outcomes.

Establishment of Young India Integrated Residential Schools will prove immensely beneficial for holistic development of students, making them globally competitive, he said.

The proposed breakfast scheme for students from the pre-primary level to the Intermediate level, envisaging provision of nutritious food, will boost the physical health and cognitive development of students, he noted.

He further hailed the State government’s other key decisions including introduction of mid-day meals for Intermediate students, and issuance of digital health cards to government employees and pensioners for cashless treatment as gamechanger decisions.
