Geetha Jeevan on Sunday expressed confidence that she would win with a margin of over 50,000 votes, stating that the people of the constituency know who stood by them during difficult times. Addressing the media in Thoothukudi, she added that a multi-level logistics park has been developed at Allikulam SIPCOT and that project would be implemented successfully. Ms. Jeevan noted that link roads will be created and railway overbridges will be developed based on the demand, adding that these projects have already been planned and would be implemented in Thoothukudi. In addition, more industries that are not harmful for the environment would be brought to Thoothukudi. She asserted that DMK would win all three constituencies in Thoothukudi north district such as Thoothukudi, Vilathikulam and Koviolpatti in upcoming assembly elections. Ms. Jeevan also said that as stated by Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, DMK-led alliance would secure victory in 200 seats in the elections.
