Township and Infrastructure Development Corporation (APTIDCO) has decided to organise a large-scale housing distribution programme, under which about 3,600 houses built at a cost of ₹323 crore will be handed over to eligible beneficiaries across the district on March 30. District Collector M. N. Harendhira Prasad said the State government had taken special initiative to expedite construction and ensure timely distribution of these housing units. He noted that the programme would provide permanent housing security to several families and significantly improve their quality of life.
