K.V.R.K. Thirunaranan of The Nature Trust, which has been documenting birdlife in Pallikaranai for the past 15 years with the support of the Forest Department, observed the presence of birds such as Asian brown flycatcher, Indian paradise flycatcher, brown-breasted flycatcher.
