MDMK leader Vaiko on Thursday claimed [some] judges have crossed their limits and “they will be responsible if bloodshed occurs”. Mr Vaiko, who arrived at Puzhuthipatti near Singampunari in Sivaganga as part of his ongoing ‘Equality Walk’ (Samathuva Nadaipayam) felt that on the Thirupparankundram deepam row the judiciary had crossed its boundaries. “Are the judges expecting bloodshed in Tamil Nadu?, he questioned. “The Tamil Nadu government is going to appeal against this verdict in the Supreme Court. In Madurai, which is a symbol of tolerance and equality, Hindus and Muslims live as brothers. This verdict by the judges has turned out to be favourable for certain Hindutva groups trying to incite religious fanaticism and cause riots between them,” Mr. Vaiko claimed. Speaking to reporters, he said, “The Modi government has deliberately removed Mahatma Gandhi’s name to abolish the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act scheme (MGNREGA). It has deceitfully placed a financial burden on the State Government.” “Drug circulation is high in Tamil Nadu. Because of this, Tamil Nadu will be destroyed. Due to drugs, some people turn into beasts within minutes. They are ruining young women. Drugs are also being distributed to school and college students, which is a dangerous sign. This must be stopped. Tamil Nadu should not turn into another Punjab,” he said..
