A Class 8 student died on the spot after he was hit by a car while returning home after writing the annual examination at Kamasamudra in Holenarasipur taluk of Hassan district on Saturday. Chiranth Gowda, 15, son of Radha Krishna of Kamasumdra, was studying at the government high school at Halekote in Holenarasipur. He would go to school every day by KSRTC bus. On Saturday, he returned to Kamasamudra by bus around 11.30 p.m., after finishing his exam. While crossing the Hassan-Mysuru Road to reach his place, a car coming from Hassan, hit him. He is survived by his parents and a sister. His father Radhakrishna, a farmer, filed a complaint with Holenarasipur Town Police.
