The Tiruchi district police have announced traffic diversions in view of the annual Panguni Ther festival at the Sri Madurai Kaliamman Temple in Thottiyam, scheduled to be held from March 31 to April 7, 2026. According to a press release, the festival, conducted under the control of the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department, is expected to draw a large number of devotees from various places, leading to possible traffic congestion in and around Thottiyam in Musiri sub-division.
