Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has been conferred with the SKOCH National Award 2025 for its “Transparent Recruitment and Training Programme” at a ceremony held in New Delhi on March 28. The award recognises the KSRTC’s efforts to ensure transparency and uniformity in its recruitment process by minimising human intervention, according to the KSRTC. The corporation has implemented a technology-driven system incorporating automated driving tests, online examinations, digital document verification, webcasting and auto-generated scorecards. “Through this system, the KSRTC has successfully recruited around 2,000 drivers and conductors, 300 technical staff and 441 candidates under compassionate grounds. The initiative is aimed at eliminating discrepancies and enhancing accountability in hiring,” official said. “In addition to recruitment reforms, the corporation has focused on capacity building. Over the past six months, more than 12,000 employees have undergone structured training programmes, contributing to improved organisational performance and service delivery,” the official added. The SKOCH Awards, instituted by the SKOCH Group, recognise excellence in governance, technology adoption, transparency and institutional growth based on measurable outcomes.
