Ruling DMK will have direct fight against its arch rival AIADMK in 24 out of the 58 Assembly constituencies in the 10 southern districts. Interestingly, both parties will contest from 37 Assembly seats each in the region. However, they will not face each other in any of the four constituencies in Sivaganga district.
