Wheelchair, transport facilities for elderly voters in Assembly polls

In the upcoming Assembly elections, wheelchair facilities will be provided to ensure easier voting for persons with disabilities and voters aged above 85.

Voters can pre-book wheelchairs and transport facilities through the Election Commission’s mobile application, Saksham ECI, or by calling 8714621986.

These services will be available from March 30 to April 7. Registration on the app should be completed using the voter ID number. Additionally, Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) are equipped with Braille features to assist visually impaired voters, officials said.
