Two boys drowned in an irrigation tank at Thayilpatti near Sattur on Saturday afternoon. The deceased were identified as K. Viswa, 9, and K. Abinesh, 7, of Thayilpatti. The boys, who were studying Class IV and III, respectively, had gone to take bath in the tank along with a few other friends.
