The XIX Additional Sessions Court on Friday convicted five persons in connection with the 2019 murder of a 19-year-old history sheeter in Vyasarpadi. Delivering the verdict, Judge R. Rajkumar found the accused — Praveen Kumar, Chandrasekar alias Appunu, Anand, Premnath, and Prabhu — guilty of murder and sentenced them to life imprisonment. The court also imposed a fine of ₹2,000 each, with a default sentence of one-year simple imprisonment.
